Tell me, my VAZ 2115 won't start?

VAZ 2115 does not start - the main reasonsA few days ago, a question came from a reader of the site, which was related to the inability to start the engine. To understand the reason, I will quote the text of the letter verbatim below:

- Hello, I read your site and found a lot of useful information on front-wheel drive VAZs. And I decided to ask a question for publication on the site. In general, the problem turns out to be the following: at first the car began to start poorly and had to repeat the starting procedure several times, removing and reinserting the ignition key. And more recently, when I had to go to work in the morning, the car stopped starting at all, and no matter how much I tried to turn the starter, it does not emit any emotions. Tell me what it can be connected with and what can be done in this case?

After talking a little with the author of this letter, I found out that when the ignition was turned on, no sounds were heard. And for the injection power system, this is already alarming, because the sound of the fuel pump should always be heard. Most likely, this is why the car at first began to start badly, that is, the pump did not create sufficient pressure in the power system, and then refused to work altogether.

  • In this case, I would advise everyone who has such a problem on the VAZ 2115 to check the fuel pump fuse. You can find its location in the instruction manual or wiring diagram for your car. Try to replace it with a new one, and also check the serviceability of the fuel pump turn-on relay. By the way, it can also burn out!
  • If it turns out that everything is in order with these elements, then you need to look at the plugs for connecting the wires to the fuel pump itself. They are located directly next to the attachment of the fuel pump to the fuel tank. Look carefully at the contacts of the plugs so that there are no oxidations and breaks.
  • If all of the above did not help and the pump does not pump when the ignition is turned on, then most likely it is out of order and will need to be replaced with a new one. It can be accessed by reclining the rear seat and there is a hatch under the trim, the cover of which must first be unscrewed!

In general, after all these advice to the author of the question, his VAZ 2115 still started up, and thank God, the reason was not a burnt out pump, but only a faulty fuse. Everything was decided as simple and cheap as possible!

Of course, if there are many cases and reasons why the car engine may not start, and you can ask your questions below in the comments, we will deal with it together. I think that site members will help with advice!
