Content
In the process of creating a storage system for small things, a person comes up with new ideas, so each car organizer is unique, because it is made to meet the needs of one driver.
Drivers are accustomed to keeping small items used daily close to them. These are the keys to the house or garage, passes to closed areas, a wallet, plastic cards and more. So that they are not lost in the cabin, people install a stand for small things in the car. A storage system that exactly meets the requirements of the driver is made by hand. It will solve the problem of losing items in the car interior.
Where can I place the stand in the car
A practical organizer for storing small things can be located in different parts of the machine:
- On the front passenger seat. This is an option for people traveling by car alone. On the chair, you can store things you need on a trip, and if necessary, the organizer can be easily removed in the trunk.
- On the back of the seat. This option is preferred by parents who often travel with children. The child will be able to independently put toys in pockets and learn to order.
- In the trunk. To make it easier to find repair tools, you should secure them in place so that they do not move around in the trunk in case of emergency braking or a sharp turn.
You can make coasters and phone holders. Thanks to them, the driver will be able to use every square centimeter of the car.
Advantages and disadvantages of stands in the car
Using special stands in the car has several advantages:
- just keep order in the cabin;
- small items are quickly found;
- the right things are always at hand.
But the abundance of shelves and storage compartments spoils the appearance of the cabin. Unfortunately, it is difficult to make a stylish and practical organizer on your own, so the car will no longer look like it just left the car dealership.
Varieties of organizers
There are the following types of stands for small things:
- hanging bag on the back of the seat;
- box with several compartments;
- devices for holding items in the trunk;
- coasters.

How to make a DIY car stand
Any driver can independently create a stand for small items from improvised materials stored in the garage. It is not difficult to do this; special skills and tools are not needed to perform the work.
What will you need?
To create different organizers you will need:
- the hanging storage system is sewn from hard fabric and durable slings, they can be purchased at any sewing store;
- a box with several compartments, mounted on the seat, is conveniently made of cardboard;
- cardboard, adhesive tape and decorative paper will be required to create a cup holder;
- in the trunk, you can place an organizer bag, a box of small things, or simple straps and pockets to hold items in place.
All of these items can easily be found in the garage. To assemble cardboard elements, you only need adhesive tape, and to create fabric storage systems, you need a sewing machine. But small devices to hold items in the trunk are easy to flash by hand.
Stand manufacturing process
The most difficult thing is to make a convenient and practical cup holder. Its shape and size will depend on the amount of free space in the location chosen for it. The case must be carefully created from thick cardboard and glued with adhesive tape. A rigid pipe (or other object) should be installed under the place for the location of the glass, which will rest on the parts of the car. The part into which the glass is inserted is conveniently made from a reel of tape. All parts should be securely connected and pasted over with decorative paper or cloth.
The easiest way is to make holders for items in the trunk. They are straps with Velcro that are attached to the car structure. If necessary, they tightly cover objects.
It's easy to create a hanging organizer. You just need to cut the fabric to the size of the back of the seat, sew a dense material to it (for example, thin cardboard or another layer of very dense fabric) and attach pockets for things. In this case, it is important to pay attention to the system of attaching the organizer to the seat.
Each driver can independently make a stand for small things. You just need to show imagination and get to work.
