In it, Poles admitted that they most often drive in sports shoes (50%) and ... in high heels (43%). “Although the rules do not regulate the shoes in which we must drive a car, shoes with heels and wedges (and flip-flops and flip flops in the summer) can adversely affect the safety of driving a car,” the expert warns.

In her opinion, every female driver who values safety should choose comfortable shoes, first of all. High heels can be too hard and too high. Driving in a traffic jam, during which you have to constantly squeeze the clutch and brake, and after a moment, the gas, can numb your left foot faster than in sports shoes. The heel can also get stuck in the groove of the rubber mat. “Therefore, if we can’t do without high heels, take changeable shoes with you, as, for example, Kamila Lapitska or Anna Mucha do,” advises Dorota Palukh. She adds that she is very positive about this new trend in automotive fashion.

Interestingly, professional driving shoes are practically no different from children's shoes. The range of running shoes from manufacturers today is also quite large. They have only one drawback. “Their dynamic design, thin soles and other charms may please a male driver, but we women may miss the feminine colors and trinkets in them,” says the ProfiAuto.pl expert. So maybe this is a challenge for shoe designers? Create feminine driving shoes, a gadget that ladies can't resist.

“Since shoe designers are already thinking about taking care of our safety in winter by designing comfortable and stable platforms so that we can walk safely on icy sidewalks, it might be time to think about driving shoes,” says Dorota Paluh. He adds that for now, an intermediate solution may be to replace, at least for the duration of the trip, fashionable high heels with bright loafers or ballet flats. – The latter can be purchased in a foldable portable version. At the end of the route, simply roll them up and carefully place them in your purse.
