Polish roads are still dangerous

Polish roads are still dangerous The traffic accident statistics in Poland are still worrying. Over the past 17 years, almost 110 15 people have died on our roads, a million have been injured. On average, XNUMX people die every day.

Polish roads are still dangerous

Many factors are responsible for this state of affairs. Most of the time it's the person's fault. Behaviors such as aggression, speeding or not obeying the speed limit or road conditions are responsible for 92 percent of all accidents directly attributable to humans. We also often forget that poor work organization and fatigue often make us fall asleep at the wheel, which also leads to accidents.

According to statistics, the most common cause of such problems is speeding (30%) and forced priority (more than 1/4 of accidents in Poland). Let's not forget about the scourge among drivers - intoxication. Over the past 17 years, almost half a thousand people have died as a result of accidents involving them.

Young drivers are still in the "high risk" group. Most of the people involved in car accidents are between the ages of 18 and 39. The reason for this may be the relatively low level of communicative education. Drivers acquire experience and necessary knowledge only with age.

While more than 90 percent of people cause accidents, other factors should not be underestimated. These include the technical condition of vehicles. The results of the ProfiAuto survey show that the vast majority of drivers in Poland check the technical condition of their cars only during the mandatory technical inspection. Considering the average age of a car in Poland (15 years), the conclusion is clear. Up to 8 percent are accidents caused by the unsatisfactory technical condition of vehicles.

The state of Polish roads cannot be overlooked. You don't even need to be a driver and drive hundreds of kilometers to see how many holes and cracks "decorate" the streets. Regardless of whether it is an express road or a municipal road.

It is encouraging that the number of accidents is decreasing. Last year there were 654 less than in 2009.
