Popularizing Tesla Electric Vehicles with Urban Superchargers

To popularize its models and make it easier for everyone to switch to electricity, renowned manufacturer Tesla plans to implement a new seduction strategy this year. It will be the creation of a Supercharger network inspired by the concept of gas station networks in cities.

The charging revolution

The problem with recharging has always been a real obstacle to buying an electric car. And if all manufacturers are well aware of this, Tesla was the first to offer this revolutionary solution: create a network of superchargers. Inspired by service station networks, it will allow a manufacturer to double their coverage in just one year. So Tesla will count 5 to 000 superchargers this year, 10 to 000 destination charging connectors, in other words, the chargers are near the destination of the drivers of these vehicles.

And for easier access, Tesla plans to install them right in the city center, rather than on the highway. The network was also designed to allow Tesla customers to use their vehicles in the same way they used their old thermal imagers. To keep customers waiting for the 20 minutes it takes to recharge, the manufacturer also opens stores perfect for a coffee break. Each station will have about ten charging stations.

A good way to attract new customers

The creation of a Supercharger network dedicated exclusively to Tesla customers will undoubtedly allow the manufacturer to attract a new category of customers with a relatively modest budget. Until now, the manufacturer's buyers have been effectively limited to Model X and S buyers with their own electric recharges at home. On long journeys, these high-end customers were also able to power the blowers at their destination. The iconic chain is also an asset that the manufacturer creates to positively influence the purchase decision of the upcoming Large Series 3, aimed at low-income families. Since recharging is no longer a problem, changing cars is even easier.
