Porsche 911 returns the crown, contributing to the automaker's sales success. Given the 2022 lineup, it doesn't look like Porsche is going to step off the gas anytime soon. 

Record Porsche sales in 2021

The numbers are for 2021 and Porsche has had a great year. Porsche North America has officially announced that it has sold over 70,000 vehicles in 2020, exceeding its 22 sales figure by 2019% and its 14 year sales figure by %. As impressive as this growth is, it's not the most exciting aspect of a record year of sales. 

The luxury car maker's electric vehicle, the Porsche Taycan, played a major role in its year-end sales success. Dupont Registry reported that 9,400 of Porsche's total sales were Taycans, double the previous year.

But the Porsche 911 has outsold the popular electric Porsche Taycan, signaling to the world that Porsche's lineup continues to compete. And when there are impressive sales figures for 17,000 to 25,000 units and almost units, it also shows that Porsche's success is fueled by a more than competitive entry into the market.
