One of the rarest and most complex Porsches in history: the first Porsche 911 GT2.

La Porsche 991 993 this is a mythologized generation. The last Porsche with air cooling, the last with such a traditionalist line, the last in some way "real 911". One way or another, the 993 generation left its mark on history, even spawning rare monsters.

La 911 Porsche 2 GT993 - one of the most famous monsters of four-wheeled horror stories. Those who know this are afraid, respect, fear.

Muscles and traction in the back

With its wide hips, swollen deltas and extreme aerodynamics, the Porsche 911 GT2 993 expresses violence even when stationary.

Based on the 991 Turbo, the Porsche GT2 was born to be homologated as a racing car; therefore, Porsche engineers have removed the heavy turbo all-wheel drive system in favor of only rear two-wheel drive. The windows were replaced with plexiglass, most of the metal was replaced with aluminum, and the wheel arches were widened (and riveted) to fit the vehicle's wider width.

The conversion was completed by a front splitter and an abnormal fender (complete with air intakes).

Brute force

200 kg less than Turbo (1280 kg dry) and also 3,6-liter twin-turbo moved from 408 to 430 resumes, GT2 is a monster even by today's standards. 0-100 km / h for 4,4 seconds and almost 300 km / h maximum speed.

550 Nm of torque was not delivered delicately: the feed was turned on / off, so metering the throttle when cornering became a maneuver for experienced drivers.

Il rear engine it helps keep the tires on the ground and provide traction, but when the giant rear wheels lose traction, the game becomes dangerous.

No steering, no help: just steering wheel, grumpy 6-speed manual transmission and driver capabilities.

Also because the short wheelbase (235 cm) and narrow track (185 cm) make the car so agile, but also nervous when turning the rear end.

I speak, 911 Porsche 2 GT993 it's one of those wild beasts that needs to be tamed, as rare as a unicorn—there are only about fifty of them in circulation—and as expensive as an attic in downtown Milan. And he deserves a place on the Olympus of supercars.
