Porsche Classic Communication Management

Two new infotainment systems for classic German cars

Modern timeless connectivity for classic cars: The new Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) opens up the digital world to vintage and young classic cars of this brand. PCCM was developed in two versions and can accurately replace original embedded devices with 1-DIN or 2-DIN sizes. Both infotainment systems offer a high-resolution touch screen and advanced features like DAB + and Apple CarPlay, as well as built-in navigation. New PCCM systems can be ordered through the Porsche Classic online store or through the Porsche Center.

Porsche Classic Communication Management is a further development of the previous navigation system for classic Porsche sports cars. Like this system, the new PCCM fits exactly into the 1-DIN slot, which has been standard for sports cars for decades. PCCM is controlled by two rotary knobs, six built-in buttons and a 3,5-inch touch screen. Like the previous model, it includes a navigation function with the search for "Point of Interest" in the improved version. Additional route control is performed as a simple representation of the arrow in a 2D or 3D view. The relevant card material is provided on a separate SD card, which can also be ordered from the Porsche Classic online store or through the Porsche center.

Modern digital technologies: DAB +, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth

PCCM can now also receive digital radios with DAB +. Another important point for this class of devices is the integration of Apple CarPlay. For the first time, all users of the Apple iPhone 5 version can now use their iPhone applications to play multimedia, navigation and telephony while driving. Multimedia playback is also possible via SD card, USB, AUX and Bluetooth®. PCCM blends harmoniously into the dashboard of classic Porsche cars thanks to its black surface finish and button shape. It has the Porsche logo and is suitable for generations of sports cars between the first 911 models of the 1960s and the last 911 air-cooled since the early 1990s (993 series). It can also be used on earlier front and mid engine models.

PCCM Plus: the modern successor to the first generation PCM

The 911 Generation 996 and Generation 986 Boxster, which were produced in the 1990s, are now optionally equipped with the Porsche 2-DIN Communication Management System (PCM). For these sports cars, Porsche Classic has developed the Porsche Classic Communication Management Plus (PCCM Plus) system, which has a 7-inch high-resolution touch screen and optimized display. The tactile and visual design of PCCM Plus is based on related components such as vents or buttons. Thus, PCCM Plus can be easily integrated into the atmosphere of classic sports cars. Peripheral components that are already installed in the car, such as an amplifier, speakers, or antenna, can still be used. Toolbar navigation displays are also supported.

Touch screen operation in accordance with current standards

Touch-screen controls and buttons are pretty much in line with the intuitively high standard used today in Porsche cars. This means that the latest Porsche Point of Interest Navigation System (POI) is also available to the driver. Route directions are performed in 2D or 3D. These cards and subsequent updates can be used via a separate SD card and ordered at Porsche Center in the same way as for PCCM. Multimedia playback is possible via SD-card, USB-stick, AUX and Bluetooth. Like PCCM, PCCM Plus also offers an interface for Apple CarPlay. In addition, the new 2-DIN module is compatible with GOOGLE® Android Auto.

A new Porsche Classic communications management system is available, including card materials for 1 euros (PCCM) or 439,89 euros (PCCM Plus), including VAT, included in Porsche centers or through the Porsche Classic online store. Recommended installation at the Porsche Center.
