Now it's undeniable: the time has come for the automotive sector to create electric or hybrid models. Proof ? Even the German giant Porsche is getting started.

Electric motor

This Porsche hybrid delivers incredible performance even in all-electric mode. Indeed, it can easily accelerate to 100 km per hour before using the heat engine. In addition, its full electric range ranges from 135 to 16 kilometers, depending on driving. More precisely, it is an electric motor with 36 horsepower or 95 kW, equipped with a 71 kWh battery, the charging time of which is 9,5 hours from a special outlet or Wallbox and 2 hours on the classic version.

Heat engine

The heat engine is as powerful yet respectful of nature as the German brand. Environmental concerns have convinced Porsche to ditch the large 8cc 4800 horsepower V400 in favor of a 6cc V3000 engine. Therefore, significant fuel savings can be expected from the outset. The German brand opted for the ZF automatic transmission with 420 gears.

Maybe a hybrid, a mighty beast

The performance of this Porsche hybrid is mind-boggling: using both engines, we get 416 horsepower, or 310 kWh. Acceleration from standstill to 5,5 km / h takes just 100 seconds, and the top speed is 270 km / h.

When it comes to consumption, it's even more incredible: This powerful gemstone consumes just 3,1 liters per 100 kilometers and emits only 71 grams of Co2 per kilometer. This is good news for the French, because the car could afford a tax cut of 4000 euros.

In July 2013, dealers will present the Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid for a modest sum of € 110.000.
