The Dutch AutoTopNL team was recently among the lucky few to get a Koenigsegg Regera for a test drive. The car is known for its unique hybrid powertrain, which combines a 5,0-liter turbocharged V8 with 3 electric motors powered by a 9 kWh battery.
The total power of the drive system is 1500 hp. and 2000 Nm, and the weight of the hypercar is 1628 kg. In other words, the Koenigsegg Regera combines the power of a Bugatti Chiron with the weight of a BMW M3, which also helps deliver incredible dynamics. In 31 seconds, the car develops 400 km / h and comes to a complete stop. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes 2,7 seconds and a top speed of 410 km / h.
At the same time, about 3/4 of the hypercar's capabilities are involved, and it accelerates to 300 km / h. The video shows that, despite the impressive acceleration, gear changes are not audible. This is true because the car has a transmission, but no gearbox as such. Instead, a rear-wheel drive system with a 2,85: 1 gear ratio is used.

Another characteristic detail that can be seen when shooting the car from behind is the large oval tube in the center of the rear diffuser. Hot air from the hybrid system is expelled from the hybrid system to the outside of the vehicle, while the familiar mufflers are housed in narrow slots on the diffuser itself.
