A video has appeared on the Automann-TV YouTube channel showing the acceleration of the VW Touareg crossover from 0 to 100 km / h. Despite the heavy weight of 2350 kilograms and huge dimensions, the SUV demonstrates impressive dynamic performance.
Under the hood of the R-version of the largest car of the German brand is a plug-in hybrid unit based on a 3,0-liter petrol V6 with 335 horsepower. It is paired with an electric motor that develops another 135 horsepower. This brings the total power of the drive system to 456 hp. and 700 Nm.
In the Automann-TV commercial, the test Touareg R accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5,3 seconds under real conditions. As for the sprint from 100 to 200 km / h, then the Volkswagen SUV takes 12,8 seconds. This is a great achievement considering the weight of the machine and the fact that it is equipped with wide 22-step tires.
