Take care of the microprocessor

In automobiles, microprocessors are increasingly being used as electronic controllers. Accidental damage can be costly.

If the microprocessor is damaged, the entire module must be replaced with a new one. Replacement is expensive and can cost several thousand zł. Workshops have already been set up to fix some of the problems in highly integrated systems, but not all. damage can be repaired.

Damage

A common cause of damage to the microprocessor is the disconnection of the battery from the vehicle's on-board network while the engine is running and the generator is generating electricity. This habit, adopted from older cars, is detrimental to electronics. In the event of a car breakdown and the need for body and paint repairs combined with welding, the on-board computer should be dismantled to protect it from damage by a strong electromagnetic field or stray currents flowing through body parts.
