Laundry facilities at the campsite? Must see!

This is the standard for foreign campsites. In Poland this topic is still in its infancy. Of course, we are talking about laundries, which we can use both during a long stay in a caravan and during a VanLife trip. Guests are increasingly asking questions about this type of structure, and field owners are faced with the question: which device to choose?

Laundry at the campsite is required for both year-round campsites and long-stay campsites. Why? We still don't find washing machines on board even the most luxurious campers or caravans, mainly due to weight. This means that we will only be able to refresh our personal belongings at campsites. Self-service laundries, so popular abroad, in Poland are only available in large cities where access, for example by caravan, is difficult (if not impossible).

If guests require on-course laundry, it is the owner's responsibility to accommodate this need. First thought: a regular home washing machine and a separate room. This solution seems great, but only in the (very) short term.

First of all - speed. A standard home washing machine takes 1,5 to 2,5 hours to complete a typical wash program. Professional – 40 minutes at a water temperature of about 60 degrees Celsius. We can reduce this further by connecting the hot water directly to the washing machine. Saving time means guest comfort and the ability to make the device available to more people.

Secondly – efficiency. A home washing machine will last about 700 cycles. Professional, designed in particular for: camping – up to 20.000!

Thirdly, a home washing machine most often offers the ability to wash items weighing no more than 6-10 kilograms. A typical 2+2 family has to use such a device several times, which is uncomfortable for both it and the owner of the field. Electricity and water consumption increases, and the guest is not happy that he has to pay for each subsequent wash. And monitoring the washing machine so that you can take out clothes and put new ones in at certain times is not what meets the definition of a “perfect vacation.”

Which device should I choose? Help comes from a company that offers professional washing machines and dryers. Its representatives travel in campers themselves and note that in Poland, laundries in campsites are called “bells and whistles.” This is mistake. Just look at the deposits located in Germany, the Czech Republic, not to mention Italy and Croatia. There, professional laundries are standard and an opportunity to earn extra money.

And in Poland? There is often a "seasonality" issue that continues to plague local campgrounds. They usually only operate during the summer season. Then the problem remains - what to do with washing machines, where to store them? And the company found a solution to this problem.

The “Laundry2go” system is nothing more than a modular, “containerized” laundry room, which can be freely equipped with washing and/or drying machines of various capacities - up to almost 30 kilograms of load! Such a “station” should be equipped with an automatic station that charges a fee for its use. That's all! In the summer, all this functions freely, so in the winter we can wait it out in a place adapted to our conditions or move it to another place that operates during the winter season (for example: a dormitory), without the need to build additional premises. buildings and without wasting valuable space.

So which device should you choose?

Contrary to appearances, on a hike you may find that a dryer is more important than a washing machine. Yes, yes – while traveling we have a limited number of days for “work activities”. We don't want to waste time on them. The offer includes compact dryers with a capacity of 8 to 10 kilograms. A professional solution, for example, has the ability to create an infinite number of ready-made programs. As campground owners, we can give guests, for example, the opportunity to choose only three, the most popular and most necessary ones. Regardless of the program, the drying process of our clothes will take no more than 45 minutes. We can easily connect such a dryer to a column with washing machines. And quality. Industrial aluminum doors, large industrial filter with strong air flow, stainless steel, easy access to components that require replacement during use - this is the definition of a professional camp dryer.

As for washing machines, the FAGOR Compact line offers free-standing devices with a quick spin, the installation of which does not pose any problems - they do not need to be anchored to the ground. Leveling is done using adjustable feet.

We can choose, as with dryers, capacities from 8 to 11 kg (in the case of Comapkt machines) and up to 120 kg in the industrial line. Here we can also freely program any number of ready-made programs. Washing machines are equipped with different payment methods depending on our preferences. As expected by professionals, the tank chamber, drum and mixers are made of AISI 304 steel. The robust aluminum door and industrial sealing device are other advantages. All bearings are reinforced, as is the motor. All this gives the effect of the already mentioned minimum ava20.000 cycles - this is an absolute record in this class.

The campsite owner will appreciate the laundry meter - it is an important statistic from both an operational and billing standpoint. There is no shortage of additional configuration options. Payment can be made, for example, using a payment card and a colorful touchpad that displays the logo of a specific field. That's not all. The list of options even includes... the ability to install a water recovery tank!

The guest will be pleased with the large capacity and very fast work - both washing and drying. Both devices allow you to set the temperature extremely accurately, which is important when working with delicate clothing or other special materials.

Gadget? Duty!

Whether it's a campsite near the city or on the seashore - a professional, fast and safe laundry service is not a "gadget". This is a much needed destination for all caravanners, regardless of their vehicle, family size or mode of travel. Given the popularity of auto tourism, today it is worth considering this type of investment. We (still) have a pandemic, but it will end someday. And then guests from abroad will come to Poland, who always ask (first) for the Internet password and (then) the possibility of washing and drying things. Let's be ready for this!
