Let us describe in detail the process of replacing the fuse using the example of a block located in the glove compartment of the BMW E39. The video is in English, but the whole process is described in a clear and understandable way.
- Before proceeding with the replacement, it is necessary to turn off electrical appliances, in particular, the consumer on which the replacement is planned.

All these components are protected by two fuse boxes, one located on the roof of the glove box and the other in the trunk on the left side.
Each unit is accompanied by a BMW E39 fuse diagram with numbering, they must be checked to restore the functionality of non-working electrical appliances. For the BMW E39 fuse diagram, the German translation is shown in the table below. To replace blown fuses:
- Disconnect all consumers from the power supply using the appropriate switches.
- Open the glove compartment, find two white clamps on the roof and turn them 900 counterclockwise, while lowering the roof of the box with the fuse box. There are also tweezers to remove them, as well as spare fuses, one of each caliber, plus a diagram of their location.
- Using tweezers, remove the appropriate fuse.
