Pininfarina Battista 2020 presented

Pininfarina Battista produces a staggering 1416kW and 2300Nm from its four electric motors.

Just a few months after the presentation of Pininfarina Battista - the first production model of the Italian brand - an all-electric hypercar has been presented in an updated form.

Still claiming to be the most powerful car ever built in Italy, the new Battista will be unveiled at the Turin Motor Show this week with a redesigned lower bumper and improved aerodynamic front end.

It's unclear why the company decided to make such changes, as car design director Luca Borgona called the update "finishing touches that make it even more beautiful."

After the public debut of the new Battista in Turin, Italy, the car will move on to the next phase of development, which includes modeling, wind tunnel and track testing.

Pininfarina Battista 2020 presented The Battista received a minor update with a new front bumper design and redesigned air intakes.

Automobili Pinanfarina hired former Formula 1 driver and current Formula E driver Nick Heidfeld to oversee testing and development at the track.

A total of 150 Battistas will be made, priced from around A$3.2 million, and can be ordered through "a small network of specialty luxury car and hypercar retailers."

As previously reported, Battista is equipped with four electric motors with a total power of 1416 kW and 2300 Nm.

The 120 kWh battery from Rimac provides a range of 450 kilometers, and acceleration from zero to 100 km/h is less than 2.0 seconds.

Acceleration from 0 to 300 km/h takes just 12.0 seconds and top speed is over 350 km/h.

The low-slung hypercar features a carbon fiber monocoque with carbon fiber body panels and bespoke 21-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile Pirelli P Zero tires.

Stopping the electric beast should be quick, with big carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers and 390mm discs on all four corners.

The interior is upholstered in brown and black leather with chrome accents, and two large screens sit on either side of the flat-top, flat-bottom steering wheel.

“We are proud of the Battista and excited to see it on display in our home showroom in Turin,” said Pininfarina President Paolo Pininfarina.

“The Pininfarina and Automobili Pininfarina teams have collaborated and worked hard to present a genuine work of art [in] Geneva this year.

“But because we never stop striving for perfection, we are delighted that we were able to add new design details to the front that, in my opinion, will further emphasize the elegance and beauty of the Battista.”
