Price increase alert! Audi just made ALL of its cars more expensive in Australia by 2022

Each of the Audi models is now more expensive, with the RS7 having its biggest jump yet at $7600.

Audi Australia has raised prices across its entire range of products for 2022 by as much as $7600.

Sean Cleary, manager of corporate communications at Audi Australia, said the brand has backed off from increased production costs as the industry grapples with the ongoing global pandemic and semiconductor shortages.

“This action reflects Audi's continued commitment to its successful product strategy: a very high level of features across all segments, as premium customers expect,” he said.

"Price increases were driven by rising material costs and ongoing supply issues that affect Audi, as do other manufacturers and other industries around the world."

As such, no changes are being made to specifications or equipment due to price increases, and the changes will apply to all vehicles built in 2022, with the first batch due to land in March.

At the cheaper end of the range, the Audi A1 soars $600 in each variant, with the range now starting at $33,800 pre-travel.

The A3 line of small cars, which includes the sedan and Sportback, also rose $300 across the board, while the more powerful S3 and RS3 models rose $800.

The A4 line gets a bigger increase in price, from $2100 for the A4 35 TFSI S-line sedan to $4500 for the RS4 Avant.

Similarly, the A5 range, which includes the coupe, Sportback and convertible, jumps from $3000 to $4900 depending on the class.

Meanwhile, the A6 range has risen from $3700 to $6300, but the biggest increase is in the A7 line, with the 45 and 55 grades up $5700, the S7 up $6400 and the top-of-the-line RS7 jumping $7600 to $237,000.

Rounding out the Audi passenger car line is the TT coupe, which costs between $2900 and $4100.

In terms of SUVs, the Q2 is now $1600 more expensive across the board, with the Q3 and Q3 Sportback models jumping from $2000 to $3300.

As for Audi Australia's most popular model, the Q5 mid-size SUV, prices have risen by $2800-$3900, while the mechanically related Q5 Sportback has risen by $3500-$3900.

The Audi Q7 goes up $4000-$4400 depending on class, while the Q8 goes up $4900-$7400.

Finally, all variants of the e-tron electric vehicle line are $2800, with the exception of the recently introduced e-tron S Sportback, which costs just $2700.

In 2021, Audi Australia sold 16,003 vehicles, up slightly from 2020 vehicles sold in 15,868.

However, in the first month of 2022, Audi Australia's sales are down a notable 46 percent compared to January 2021, with each of its lines except for the Q5, which was boosted by the recently introduced Q5 Sportback shape, showing double-digit percentages. refuses.
