Presidio: the new low-cost electric moped for Monday Motorbikes

Electric moped company Monday Motorbikes has just unveiled its latest creation: Monday Presidio.

Unveiled in San Francisco, where the company organized its first series of user tests, the Presidio is aesthetically close to the Anza model unveiled just a few weeks ago. The difference is evident in the frame, the Presidio's gooseneck, and the location of the removable battery. In the end, the exterior is a little less roadster than the Anza.

The motor integrated into the rear wheel is available in two versions: 500 or 750 W. In all cases, the machine is equipped with pedals. It can be used as an electric bike, the speed is limited to 32 and 45 km / h respectively. American law remains much more flexible than what we know in Europe, so the lazier ones will be able to use a single throttle lever to move the car without having to pedal.

From 40 to 56 km of autonomy

The removable lithium battery has a capacity of 556Wh (48V - 11.6Ah) in the 500W version and 672Wh (48V - 14Ah) in the 750W version for a maximum range of 40 and 56 kilometers depending on the conditions provided by the manufacturer.

For the US market, Monday plans to begin first deliveries from November this year. Priced, the 500W version is obviously the cheapest at a base price of $ 1999, making the Presidio one of the cheapest mopeds on the market. The less affordable 750W version starts at $ 2999.
