The reasons for the unstable operation of the VAZ 2107 engine

If you have a contact ignition system installed, then when the contacts burn, the engine may start to work intermittently and there can be no question of any stability. The power supply system also plays an important role in the stable operation of the car engine, therefore it should be considered as carefully as the ignition system. Below are the main problems with the fuel system that can lead to unstable engine operation:

1. The first step is to check the quality of the fuel. Try to drain all the gasoline from the tank and check for debris such as water. Even at proven gas stations, you can sometimes grab water into the tank, after which the car will jerk and the engine will be inconsistent. In this case, when the gasoline is drained from the tank, it is necessary to completely pump the fuel line with a pump so that there are no residues of low-quality fuel in it. If necessary, flush the carburetor and replace the fuel filter.
2. Clogged carburetor or fuel filter. If debris gets into the carburetor, then the engine may refuse to work at all and even start. With clogged jets, the fuel mixture will not fully enter the combustion chamber, which will instantly affect the normal operation of the engine.
3. If an unstable idle speed is detected, then you can try to adjust the carburetor by tightening the desired adjusting bolt in the carburetor.
4. Gasoline pump. He can start to junk and pump intermittently, which naturally can lead to the described symptoms.

Gas distribution system

Here, the main reason for the deterioration in engine performance can be incorrect valve adjustment. If at least one of the valves is clamped, then you should not expect stable operation from the power unit. If, when measuring the clearances between the rockers and the camshaft cams, it turns out that they are more or less than 0,15 mm, you should carry out valve adjustment VAZ 2107.
