What is Bardahl B2 used for and how does it work?

The vast majority of Bardahl's formulations are based on two developments: Polar Plus and Fullerene C60. The Bardahl B2 Oil Treatmen additive, unlike, for example, one of the top Bardahl Full Metal compositions, is created only on the basis of Polar Plus technology with the addition of a package of polymeric substances that enhance the action of the main component.

The composition of Bardahl B2 is intended for filling in engine oil engines that have significant wear of the cylinder-piston group. But at the same time, it is important that there are no critical damages in the piston engine, such as cracks, scuffs, shells, as well as a general output in excess of the allowable technical documentation of the auto norm.

Additive Bardahl B2 Oil Treatment has two main actions.

  1. Due to thermally activated polymers, the high-temperature viscosity of engine oil increases. At the same time, low-temperature viscosity remains practically unchanged, which favorably affects the winter start-up of a car. A thicker oil for a “tired” engine at operating temperature has a positive effect on the wear rate of working surfaces, increases compression, increases efficiency and reduces fuel consumption.
  2. Thanks to Polar Plus technology, the oil film becomes stronger, better withstands increased loads and stays on work surfaces for a long time and does not drain from them into the sump. This is achieved due to the polarized components with which the oil is saturated. Polarized molecules reliably adhere to metal surfaces due to electromagnetic interaction.

As a result, compression is restored in the cylinders, the engine becomes more responsive. At the same time, smoke is reduced and there is a slight decrease in fuel and engine oil consumption.

Additive Bardahl B2 is suitable for gasoline and diesel cars with any power systems. It is poured into the engine at each oil change at the recommended rate of 1 bottle per 6 liters of lubricant. The manufacturer does not give a strict framework in terms of concentration. However, the maximum allowable proportion should not exceed 1 part additive to 10 parts oil.

Bardahl B1

The additive Bardahl B1 is mistakenly considered the previous, less perfect version of the B2 composition. However, it is not. These add-ons have slightly different functionality.

The composition of the Bardahl B1 is also based on the components of Polar Plus. But the emphasis is not on restoring the performance of a worn engine by increasing the viscosity of the lubricant, but on enhanced engine protection with an average or increased degree of output.

Additive Bardahl B1 has the following effects:

  • fills minor roughness, cracks and scuffs in the cylinder-piston group with a size of several micrometers, which restores the contact patch and significantly reduces the wear rate;
  • reduces the coefficient of friction in loaded interfaces of parts;
  • promotes cleaning of working surfaces from sludge and varnish deposits;
  • facilitates winter starting of the engine.

This composition is poured into a warm engine after maintenance at the rate of 1 bottle per 6 liters of engine oil.

Reviews of motorists

Motorists leave generally positive feedback on Bardahl B2 and B1 additives. In almost all cases, drivers say that the effect of the action of the compounds is observed almost immediately after pouring.

After a few kilometers, the following changes occur in the operation of the motor:

  • compression is leveled and increased, oil pressure is normalized (except when there is damage to the valve system or there are deep scuffs on the cylinder walls);
  • reduced noise and vibration feedback during engine operation;
  • engine thrust increases, the car accelerates more dynamically, the maximum speed increases;
  • oil consumption for waste and smoke from the exhaust pipe is reduced.

Many motorists note the short duration of their action as a negative aspect of the work of Bardahl additives. Often the initial effect disappears after 5 thousand kilometers. And in this case, you must either put up with the returned symptoms of a worn motor, or pour a new portion of the composition into the oil.
