Signs that your car is about to die

All these malfunctions in the car can be eliminated, but this repair is very expensive and time-consuming. So if you notice any symptoms that your car is about to die, consider whether it's worth repairing or just buying another vehicle.

Vehicle care and protection is essential to ensure the proper functioning of vehicles. Performing all your maintenance and repair services helps us extend the life of your vehicles.

However, time and use cause the car to gradually wear out until the day comes when the car stops working and dies completely.

Cars that are about to die can also be dangerous as they can let you down while you are on the road and leave you stranded, unable to move. That is why it is important to know your car and know its technical condition.

Therefore, here we have collected some signs that indicate that your car is about to die.

1.- Constant engine sounds

The engine can make a lot of noise for various reasons. However, one sound that can be problematic for your car's health comes from inside the engine block. These noises are problematic because to find out their origin it is necessary to open the engine, which is quite expensive, and in the worst case, you will have to completely replace the engine.

2.- Burns a lot of engine oil

If your car is consuming a lot of oil but showing no signs of leakage, this may indicate that the car is already living its last days. For example, if your car needs a liter of oil a month, that's fine, but if it burns a liter of oil a week, you're in trouble.

The mechanic will tell you that the car is burning too much oil because the engine is already worn out and the valve rings are so hard that they can no longer hold oil.

3.- Blue smoke from the exhaust pipe

. Piston rings, valve guide seals, or other engine components are worn or broken, causing oil to leak. The oil will enter the combustion chamber and then burn along with the fuel, forming blue smoke.

The most expedient thing is to take the car for review as soon as you notice blue smoke coming from the muffler. Early detection of faults can facilitate repairs and reduce costs.

4.- Transmission problems

When there are numerous problems with the transmission, this means that you should consider replacing your car with another one, especially if your car has already traveled many miles. Just like replacing an engine is very expensive, a new transmission means more expense than you could spend on a new car.

If your car often skids when shifting gears, it probably means that the transmission is about to fail.
