Pairing issues

Low, winter temperatures and high air humidity contribute to the evaporation of car windows to such an extent that it is impossible to drive a car.

However, there are ways to deal with this.

If this problem often occurs in a car, you should start by checking the condition of the dust filter (cabin filter), which, due to contamination, can prevent the car's ventilation from working properly. If the filter is clean, you have to use a few "tricks" to deal with it.

Firstly, we can use special preparations available on the market, the purpose of which is to prevent the formation of condensation on the glass. Such preparations are applied to glass, on which a special moisture-absorbing layer is created.

Actions that should be performed immediately after getting into the car are cheaper and no less effective. After starting the engine, adjust the air flow to the windshield and increase the blowing force so that the vehicle is better ventilated from the very beginning. Especially in the first minutes of driving, until the engine warms up to a higher temperature required for the heater to work properly, you can slightly open the side window, which will significantly speed up the ventilation of the passenger compartment.

If the car is equipped with air conditioning, it is worth remembering that it should also be used in winter, since it has the properties of an air dryer, so the steam quickly disappears from all windows. In this case, it is absolutely necessary to use the air conditioner with the windows closed.

However, if these methods did not work either, the car should go to the garage, as it may turn out that one of the ventilation elements is seriously damaged.

Another problem is the steam that builds up when the car is not moving. If this happens in winter, the driver usually has to deal with glass scratching not only from the outside, but also from the inside. And in this case, it is also best to use "home remedies". After stopping the vehicle, thoroughly ventilate the interior before closing the door. It will dry up, among other things, upholstery that could get wet, for example, from wet clothes. Before getting out of the car, it is also a good idea to clean the floor mats, which in winter are often full of water from shoes. Such procedures cost only a few minutes and allow you to avoid the tedious glass scraper from the inside.
