Tesla Software 2020.4.11: Nothing New But… More Range on Display [Model S LR +, Model X LR +] • ELECTRIC CARS

There is a tweet mentioning Tesla software numbered 2020.4.11. There is no news in it, except for one thing: the display shows a greater vehicle range. Probably, only the owners of the latest Tesla Model S and X Long Range will notice this. More (LR +).

New Tesla Model X (2020) Long Range Plus with a 570/565 kilometer range?

Tesla "Long Range Plus" replaced the Long Range options in the US Tesla Configurator less than three weeks ago, in mid-February 2020. There have been no updates for them, except for one - their overall battery range has increased.

There is now a tweet from an internet user who has a brand new Tesla Model X with just 769 kilometers of range. It received a software update to version 2020.4.11 and its display showed 354 kilometers on battery (source):

Tesle Model S and X Long Range More currently only available in the US configurator. They are not yet available in Europe (as of March 5, 2020). According to Elon Musk, the wider range is "a set of small improvements", though it's not clear where those improvements have been applied.

The first delivered and observed Tesla Model X Long Range Plus (designated Model X LR +) has the same battery version (rev F) as the previous Long Range variants:

Despite the same version of the batteries, the vehicle reports, however 351 miles (565 km) range on the battery. That is about. five kilometers less than the Model X LR + from the aforementioned tweet, but 37 kilometers more than the classic Tesla Model X Long Range (no Plus).
