Tesla Firmware 2019.28.2: Chess + Space Odyssey, Key Assigned Driver Profiles & Daily Fix • ELECTRIC CARS

Tesla is providing car owners with the 2019.28.2 software. It has a few changes that fall under the Entertainment category, but there is also a modification that owners have been asking for for years: the ability to assign car settings to a key (= driver).

The Chess game has been added to the latest version of the program. He has already faced the 27-year-old chess grandmaster Fabiano Caruana, who currently ranks second in the world rating of the International Chess Federation. Each key or phone can be assigned a specific seat and steering wheel configuration – without having to change them all the time if more than one person is driving the car.

One of the changes she made the biggest impression on the owners of other cars, there is a fix for the dog mode. Well, one user noticed that Dog Cabin Cooling Mode (that's what Dog Mode is) only works with a very specific air conditioning setting. In other cases, the air conditioner turns off, so your pet is exposed to high temperatures.

Elon Musk responded to this report on Twitter in just 1 minute (!), and the fix was ready in a day - and it immediately hit the latest version of the software.

The last modification mentioned is the intelligent sound volume control: Tesla with firmware 2019.28.2 will turn off the music when one of the doors is opened. This facilitates communication with the passenger.
