The Punch Powerglide 6L50 automatic transmission has been assembled at the Strasbourg plant since 2015 and is known in our market for such popular models as the UAZ Patriot and the GAZelle Next. This transmission is essentially a clone of the 6 General Motors 50L2006 automatic.

This 6-speed automatic transmission has been installed on models from GM since 2006. The transmission belongs to the Medium-Duty class and is designed for a torque of less than 450 Nm. Since 2015, Punch Powertrain has been producing a clone of this gearbox for the emerging market.
By design, this is a classic hydromechanical automatic transmission for rear and all-wheel drive cars, where a torque converter, a rotary pump, planetary gears, clutch packs, a hydraulic system, and a control system for this transmission are combined in one housing. A distinctive feature is the built-in torsional vibration damper or CPVA, which effectively dampens rotational unevenness, significantly reducing vibration from the gearbox.
The machine is controlled by eight solenoids: two types of On-Off and six regulators.
