The automotive chemical industry seemed to anticipate every possible need for a car owner. However, practice shows that drugs from a completely different “opera” cope with similar tasks cheaper and more efficiently.

Let's start with the classics - interior care. With plastic and rag upholstery, there are no special questions, everything has been worked out. Although, we note, it is much cheaper and more “angrily” to clean up plastic surfaces with the help of the most ordinary sponge-brush for shoe care. The most problematic interior option for maintenance is leather. And special - with perforated leather, which is used, for example, on seats with airflow. To clean them is a whole special operation using expensive car chemicals and a vacuum cleaner. And the way out is simple and it is called - a couple of bottles of some kind of cream-soap for cleaning the face, which women use to remove their cosmetics, and a few napkins.

To tidy up the body, sometimes you need not just foam and water, but also something more serious, for example, to remove insect stains. Other branded auto chemicals for this purpose are sold in car dealerships a lot. However, the most effective and cheapest remedy is banal gasoline. It is not necessary to cast it from a gas tank or be tricky with containers when refueling a car at a gas station. Gasoline "kalosh", as in Soviet times, is still sold in hardware stores.

The situation is similar when it is necessary to remove bitumen stains that appear on the body after driving on repaired road sections. The same goes for traces of tree resin.

Especially often they appear on the horizontal surfaces of the body in the spring, when the buds burst on the trees. Most of the patented remedies for these ailments contain mineral spirits or something like kerosene. What is the point of overpaying for a brand and beautiful packaging?

Many people know that for better cleaning of the windshield, some kind of dishwashing detergent should be added to the tank. But there is another "life hack" in this area. It is enough to add 40-50 milliliters of ordinary fabric softener there (the one that is poured from the washing machine) and the windshield will receive the property of “anti-rain” preparations. Car owners who have tried this “recipe” claim that drops of water run off the glass themselves, and the wiper blades begin to slide better along the “windshield”.

It is not news that such animals as cats or rats often start up under the hood of cars. If the first ones are just a pity, then rodents can also do a great job - gnaw on electrical wiring or rubber seals. It turns out that you can drive these living organisms away from your vehicle with the help of chemistry. Cats don't like the smell of citrus, and rodents don't like naphthalene. To create an unbearable atmosphere for cats and rodents, we fix a sponge and a box with small holes somewhere in the engine compartment. We impregnate the sponge with some citrus essential oil, and pour a little naphthalene into the box. An indescribable amber is guaranteed.
