Today you don't need to spend a lot to have fun, on the contrary. Without even delving into the labyrinth of used cars, treacherous territory when it comes to sports cars, you can take the car you want home with less than 35.000 euros. Do you want to know which ones? Here's our personal rating.

Fifth position

This is nothing new, we love Hatchbackand for 34.300 € you can garage one of the fastest and funniest compact cars in the C segment: Seat Leon Cupra.

Its 2.0 TSI develops 280 hp. and 350 Nm of torque transmitted to the ground via a mechanical limited slip differential. But the numbers don't tell you how much fun it is. The engine has a lot of thrust, especially at medium revs, and does not choke even near the red line; while the DSG change is quick and immediate. But the frame is surprising: very good grip and a tendency to oversteer downhill. And for those who want to be practical, the Cupra can also be purchased in a 5-door or ST version.

Fourth position

In the fourth position we find the endangered race car. In times of downsizing, the V6 is rare, especially if it's a naturally aspirated gasoline engine. There Nissan 370Zat list price 33.510 328, offers a true sporting experience for the price of a fully equipped diesel sedan. Its chassis is perfectly balanced and with its 6 HP, I believe it is one of the best price / power ratio cars on the market. The front-engine / rear-wheel drive configuration is ideal for drifting enthusiasts, and its VXNUMX emits a pleasant metallic sound all the way to the red zone.

Third position

In third position we find another rear-wheel drive, but this time with a small 1.5 liter engine and only 131 hp. I'm talking about New Mazda MX-5at a list price of 25.300 euros.

The MX-5 has never had impressive numbers on paper, but it does have something the data can't show, it's the X factor. The steering, gearbox, chassis, sound are all perfectly balanced and the car seems to interact with the driver like a series of well synchronized gears. Its six-speed manual transmission is one of the best on the market, while the chassis is available to get in the way (with a little goodwill) whenever you want.

Second position

In second place, more than a car, we find a weapon: Renault Megan RS. Priced at €26.950, this French compact car is the cheapest supercar killer ever. On a mountain road, it's easy to go from (almost) legal gaits to gaits bordering on pure insanity. The only drawback - if you can call it that - is that its frame is so good that you have to work really hard to have some serious fun.

First position

In the first place among the best sports cars under 35.000 euros is another rear-wheel drive japp (there are three of them in the standings): Toyota GT86, Or Subaru BRZ, if you want. Few cars in any price range are capable of such dependence.

The four-cylinder boxer isn't a power monster, and its 200bhp. hardly live up to the aesthetic, but its lateral balance is fantastic. I understand that not everyone can be a fan of oversteer, but I can't think of anything more fun than doing with a car.

You don't need to go fast with her to have fun like children, but funny cars at any pace are less and less common today. For this reason, the GT86 deserves first place in our ranking.
