PZL-Świdnik

The offer of a new Polish multi-purpose helicopter in the Perkoz program based on the AW139 platform is based on the total "polonization" of this completely new platform in order to obtain a product 100% Made in Poland.

Two lines for the production of modern helicopters can be built in Svidnik: multi-purpose and strictly combat helicopters. The first will be based on the proven AW139 helicopter platform, the second will be the all-new AW249, another milestone in global helicopter manufacturing and design.

PZL-Świdnik, within the framework of the national helicopter programs of the Polish Ministry of Defense, offers helicopters that can be completely produced at the plants in Swidnica with the participation of Polish industry and using the Polish supply chain. In the programs of Perkoz and Kruk, in cooperation with Polish industry, including the Air Force Institute of Technology (ITWL) and companies of the Polish Arms Group (PGZ), PZL-Świdnik offers the military new Polish helicopters, as well as a number of benefits for Poland, which are the result of cooperation and investment with high rate of profit.

The upgrade of W-3 Sokół helicopters to Battlefield Support standard is designed to meet the high standards of modern aviation solutions, providing the W-3 Sokół with an increase in operational capabilities.

Choosing another ready-made solution will mean only expenses from the state budget. PZL-Świdnik offers investments in helicopters 100% made in Poland, which means jobs and development of the region, as well as Polish industry, included in the supply chain, and Polish research institutions.

The production of new and modern helicopters at PZL-Świdnik involves the transfer of technology while adjusting the Plan for the Technical Modernization of the Polish Armed Forces based on domestic industry, as well as the export capabilities of Polish variants of helicopters produced at PZL-Świdnik. It is also part of a plan to strengthen the Polish defense industry and ensure military and economic sovereignty.

Helicopters are a highly profitable business, and Polish exports have strengthened. The helicopter industry is in the segment that has been relatively least affected by the coronavirus crisis, given the invaluable range of tasks that only helicopters can perform and their importance. for the security of nations and the support of the population. An example of this are the numerous orders from many countries of the world, from Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East, which come to Leonardo, where PZL-Świdnik is located. Therefore, the Swidnik plant, using its 70 years of experience, over the next decades, strengthening strategic partnerships with Polish industrial enterprises and research centers, wants to design, develop and manufacture, as well as maintain helicopters for the Polish army.

The production of new helicopters at PZL-Świdnik ensures that Poland continues its helicopter tradition. In Poland, only Swidnik produced rotorcraft, therefore, as the only Polish manufacturing plant, it can offer new, 100% Polish helicopters, i.e. those whose intellectual property is located in the country and who use Polish technical thought, and not just the ability to assemble by making other ready-made solutions. Full-fledged production is currently possible only in PZL-Świdnik, taking into account also two programs: Perkoz and Kruk, announced by the Polish Ministry of Defense. These helicopters can be completely manufactured in PZL-Świdnik using the Polish supply chain, which, along with the supply of helicopters, will offer the Polish military a base for development: complete infrastructure and logistics. This is all the more important because the combat capabilities of military equipment are not only tactical and technical parameters, but also the entire infrastructure.

Perkoz for the Polish army and for export through the Polish government. The helicopters sought under the Perkoz program are designed to provide combat support with advanced aviation training capabilities; team; intelligence and electronic warfare.

For this program, PZL-Świdnik offers a multi-role helicopter that can be completely manufactured at the Svidnik factories based on the proven AW139 platform, in the development of which these factories have played a significant role. The AW139 helicopter is a bestseller in the world market. For example, the Boeing MH-139, based on the AW139, was also selected by the US Air Force, where it will serve under the name Gray Wolf. Worldwide, AW139 is used by 280 operators from 70 countries.

As a new multi-purpose helicopter, it would give the Polish military the opportunity to make a technological leap and get excellent tactical capabilities. From a military point of view, many weapons systems can be integrated into this multi-purpose platform, depending on the user's decision: for example, machine guns of various calibers mounted on the sides, external payloads, including guided and unguided missiles, air-to-air. air and earth. The AW139 uses advanced flight and navigation systems for day and night operations, advanced collision avoidance and ground proximity sensors, a synthetic environmental imaging system and advanced night vision capabilities, tactical communicators, an advanced 4-axis autopilot with mission modes, and advanced satellite navigation. The AW139 is also fully de-iced, and the unique dry running of the main gearbox for over 60 minutes ensures unrivaled safety, durability and reliability. This helicopter has the best power and efficiency in its class. After all, which is also important, the salon space is characterized by versatility and modularity. Thanks to this, as the experience of active military users has shown, the helicopter can be quickly reconfigured between different tasks.

The offer, a new Polish multipurpose helicopter based on the AW139 platform, is based on the complete "Polonization" of this brand new platform in order to obtain a 100% "Made in Poland" product. It is important to note that within the framework of the Perkoz program, PZL-Świdnik invites companies from the Polish industry, including the PGZ group and ITWL, to broad cooperation. In addition, the implementation of the PZL-Świdnik program means that further direct investment from Leonardo, technology transfer, know-how and intellectual property will remain in Poland. The Polish version of this helicopter can be offered by the Polish government in intergovernmental deals, as is done by the US government and many other countries.
