Rarely are those who buy a car with only a meter, a list of equipment and the amount they have. Buying a car is still quite an emotional affair, and shape, for example, is one of the most important deciding factors. Apart from, of course, this purely personal motivation, which is difficult to define. And I miss it in our extended Fiat test. But maybe the form is also to blame? The 500L is a bit of an odd car, very different from most of the cars we see on our roads. There is nothing wrong with being different, after all, I still maintain that the first generation of the modern Multiple (based on the Fiat 600 from before I was born) was one of the best cars of all time. Until they spoiled it with design changes that they wanted to make it more classic with an update.

After rejuvenation, I like the 500L better (but not like its 500X sibling, for example), but it's still a machine that always surprises me. First, I go through the key box in the newsroom and hope to find a better alternative, but nevertheless, when I sit in it, the result is the same over and over again: first I am "surprised" that I am sitting comfortably enough, and then again ". surprised ”with perfectly correct driving technique and driving performance. And, of course, space and flexibility. Well, the infotainment system could be better (with a larger touchscreen), the transmission could be six-speed (the already low consumption would also be lower on the highways), but still: this 500-liter with everything the necessary basic axis according to the price list, it costs only a good 15 thousand. And you can be sure that the story does not end there. When I look at it from this point of view (and ride it), I am amazed again and again that I am (obviously unnecessarily) dumb. Well, at least others in the news department are more satisfied, because we still rarely see him in the office garage, keys change hands ...
