Extended test Honda Civic 1.6 i-DTEC Sport

In other words, this would mean that in just a year we would have transported a little less than 50 thousand, which is a lot. The culprits, of course, in quotation marks, since this is our job, were Tomaj, Tina, Katya, Primozh, Denis, Dusan, Urosh, Sasha, Petr and my baby. So young and old, boys and girls, journalists and photographers. And what did we write in the notebook that is included in our basic equipment in the cars undergoing the extended test? Tomaj complained about the space dashboard or dashboard, although it didn't bother any writer, let alone the lower ergonomics, Peter drove the test car as much as two thousand kilometers, mostly on Italian roads, and praised fuel consumption (among 3,8, XNUMX liters and five liters, according to the on-board computer), and Tina drove around her grandmother and hired a Ljubljana spider. And he wrote meaningfully that if a car gets into the lottery, then with extremely low fuel consumption, it can fly around the world right with it.

The biggest surprise is not the average fuel consumption, although it was a modest 4,8 liters, but the size of the trunk. In case you still don't know, despite its sporty form, the Honda Civic has a quarter more trunk than the Volkswagen Golf, which means, more precisely, a difference of 100 liters! That's why it was a very popular long-distance car (right Perot?) And heating up the neighbors (Tina took her for a test drive and he asked her if she always had rich lovers because of other cars), and my baby really appreciated the precise mechanics, as a drivetrain with short and precise movements just requires dynamic driving.

Some attribute the fact that the Civic does not deserve the Sport label, at least without implying that our colleagues in Denmark are already chasing the 310-horsepower Honda Civic Type-R. So that at least rain there is almost from the toilet almost in the north of Europe ... Enviable? No, we don’t know. The damn gang is enjoying! Of course, we more than allow our colleagues to relax in a good athlete after such a long journey, although in the supertest we did not feel left out. The chassis is surprisingly comfortable compared to the 17-inch wheels, the handling is good, the 1,6-liter turbodiesel is also surprisingly quiet, which can probably also be attributed to the finished soundproofing.

Speaking of the name Sport, we can say that I could easily have 40, 50 or 60 "horses" more, but then I probably would not use only 4,8 liters per 100 kilometers, right? That's why we prioritize comfort and space over sportiness, which is a surprise for such a dynamically designed vehicle. There was more than enough legroom and headroom for the kids on the back bench and complained a bit about the high edge of the side window which adds a bit of claustrophobia. A two-piece rear window is not the best solution for good visibility for a car, but at least the upper part is equipped with a wiper. Unfortunately, we have already returned the blue Honda Civic to the dealer and can honestly say that we already miss it. Sebastian or Tomaz, what if we went to Slovenia in a new Type-R? I think Slovenia with mountain roads would be a better natural polygon than Denmark with straight roads!
