Extended test: Peugeot 3008

In Slovenia, the Peugeot 3008 took first place among viewers, readers and listeners, and journalists from leading Slovenian automotive media also took part in the final selection. Peugeot 3008 took first place in five editions, Alfa Romeo Giulia took first place in two, and Volkswagen Tiguan won in one. These three cars also ended up taking the podium, with the 3008 celebrating quite convincingly.

On a European scale, the victory was much less expected, also less convincing, but certainly well deserved. In addition, due to the large number of votes, especially because of the 58 members of the jury, announcements are always thankless, and even more so, surprises are possible. The battle for the 2017 European Car of the Year title was thus between the Peugeot 3008 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia, and all other finalists did not interfere in the fight for victory. In the end, the Peugeot 3008 scored 319 points and the Alfa Giulia 296. Thus, on a European scale, the 3008 won the competition and especially the Alfa Giulia, which also finished second in Slovenia.

And why Peugeot 3008 took first place? On a European scale (as well as a Slovenian one), the 3008 impressed in every way. Not completely, but in most segments it is above average. Thus, it not only deviates in some segments, but also meets the needs of the customer, driver and passenger everywhere. Many journalists were excited about the ride, many about the design, and we were the only ones to see how the Peugeot 3008 revolutionized the interior.

The downward trend in engine displacement is gradually slowing down and there are already differences between many engines. Some of them are too weak in volume, others are missing some "horses", and still others are overly thirsty. Peugeot pa ...
