Dawn of drones

Forecasters see in their visions swarms of machines revolving around us. The ubiquitous robots will soon repair this and that in our bodies, build our homes, save our loved ones from fires, and mine the neighborhoods of our enemies. Until the tremor passes.

We cannot yet say about mobile unmanned vehicles - autonomous and independent. This revolution is yet to come. Many believe that robots and related drones will very soon begin to make decisions independent of humans. And this worries some, especially when we talk about military projects, such as those that are designed to fight, fly and land on aircraft carriers. prototype H-47B (photo on the right) or predatory harvest has long been in Afghanistan and in many other countries.

US Customs and Border Protection are using drones to track smugglers and immigrants who cross borders illegally. NASA's Global Hawks collect weather data and track hurricanes at close range. Unmanned aerial vehicles have helped scientists study volcanoes in Costa Rica, archaeological finds in Russia and Peru, and the effects of floods in North Dakota. In Poland, they will be used by road boars to track pirates and meteorological services.
