Often there is no need to buy steel wheels, because they are almost eternal. It's almost impossible to break them. The main malfunction of such discs is deformation due to the wheel falling into a pit, hitting a curb, etc. However, this problem is solved by rolling on a special machine, and at home - by leveling with a hammer.
As for the shortcomings, there are fewer of them. Basically, motorists note the lack of aesthetics and individuality, as well as the large weight that affects fuel consumption. As for the appearance, indeed, “stamping” does not differ in design or attractiveness. They are all the same. Disc diameter
Diameter is the main parameter that determines the ability to install a disc on a particular car. The standard VAZ 2107 wheels have a diameter of 13 inches.
Naturally, the larger the wheel size, the better the car looks. Moreover, with larger discs, the machine better "swallows" small holes and potholes. On the "seven" you can install discs no larger than 14 inches, without changing tires, and without altering the chassis.
Disk width
The width of the disc, or rather its rim, characterizes the width of the tire that can be used with it. The standard width of the "5" disc is 6 ", however, parts up to XNUMX" wide can be installed.
The diameter and width together determine the size of the disc. In the marking, it is indicated as follows: 13x5, 14x5, 15x5,5 or vice versa: 5x13, 5,5x14, etc.
Departure disk
Departure is probably the most difficult characteristic to understand. It defines the distance from the interface plane of the part with the hub to the conditional plane dividing the disc rim in half. Depending on the model, discs can have both positive offset and negative offset. In the first case, the mating plane of the part does not cross the conditional boundary, which divides it into two equal halves. Looking at a car equipped with positive offset wheels, it will seem to you that the wheels of the car are, as it were, recessed into the arches. With a negative offset, on the contrary, the mating plane is shifted to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle itself, and the disc “bulges” outward.
The regular “seven” disk has an overhang of + 29 mm. However, this parameter has a standard deviation of 5 mm in one direction or another. In other words, disks with an offset from + 2107 to + 24 mm are suitable for the VAZ 34. The overhang is measured in millimeters and is indicated on the marking as follows: ET 29, ET 30, ET 33, etc.
The change in the departure value of the "sevens", most often in the negative direction, is used in order to give the appearance of the car a sporty style and aggressiveness. But here it is important not to overdo it. The fact is that when the amount of departure changes in one direction or another, the distance between the point of attachment of the wheel to the suspension and the fulcrum on the road surface also changes. And the more the standard distance is changed, the greater the load will be on the wheel bearing. In addition, the changes will affect the handling of the car, and this is already unsafe.

Centering hole diameter
Any wheel disk is designed for a certain size of the hub, or rather, its centering flange. It is on him that the disk is mounted with its centering hole. The disks of the "sevens" have a central hole with a diameter of 58,5 mm. In standard labeling, this is referred to as "DIA 58,5". No deviations are allowed here, but some tuning enthusiasts manage to put discs on the VAZ 2107 with a smaller hole diameter, boring it, or a larger one, using special centering rings.
Razboltovka
A parameter such as bolt pattern indicates the number of holes for mounting the disk and the diameter of the circle along which they are located. The factory rim of the "seven" has four holes for the mounting bolts. They are located on the same circle, the diameter of which is 98 mm. On the marking, the bolt pattern is indicated as follows: “LZ / PCD 4x98”.
As you understand, installing disks with a different bolt pattern on a VAZ 2107 just won’t work, especially if its values \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbare different not only in the size of the circle, but also in the number of holes. However, there is a way out, and more than one. The first option is to use special spacers between the disc and the hub. Such spacers have two bolt patterns: one standard for fastening to the hub, and the second for fastening the disk. The second option is only suitable for discs with the same number of bolts and a slight deviation from the diameter of the circle on which they are located. During installation, of course, there will be problems with tightening the bolts at the final stage. It will not work to fully tighten them, because of which the wheel will hang out in motion. But this problem can be solved with the help of special bolts with a displaced center. You can either buy them or order from a familiar turner.
Drilling
Such a parameter as drilling is necessary so that the car owner, when buying wheels, is not mistaken with the size of the mounting holes. If they are larger than the diameter of the bolts, the disk will not fit tightly, and over time it will begin to hang out. If they are smaller, the bolts simply will not go into the holes. The diameter of the holes for the mounting bolts in the regular disks of the "seven" is 12,5 mm. For fixing, bolts of the M12x1,25 type are used.
What cars fit wheels on the VAZ 2107
Unfortunately, there are very few cars that have the same disk parameters with the "seven". VAZ 2107, in this sense, is almost unique. And the point is not at all in their diameter, width, or reach. Everything rests on the bolt pattern and the size of the hub hole.

Is it possible to install sixteen-inch wheels on a VAZ 2107
Probably, everyone who had to see the "seven" on sixteen- and even seventeen-inch disks was very interested in how they were "dragged" there. In fact, everything is simple. In some cases, the owners of such cars do not even digest arches. It's all about the height of the tire, which is expressed as a percentage of the height of the rubber profile to its width. And if it is 70% for a stock tire, then in order to put fifteen-inch wheels on the “seven”, you need to put rubber on them with a height of 40-50%.
To install sixteen- and seventeen-inch wheels, it is better to raise the car a little due to special spacers for shock absorbers, or increase the size of the arches by cutting them out. As for the height of the tire profile, it is better if it is no more than 25%.
