French electric scooter specialist, RedE is targeting professionals and intends to position itself as a leader in the sector in 2018.

Claiming that the company gained 25% of the French market in less than nine months, RedE announces that it has won the recognition of several established players in the sector such as Sushi Shop, Pizza Hut or Naturalia.

“The electric scooter market is taking shape both in terms of potential and limitations. We have been able to anticipate market trends and offer a 360° offer that benefits professionals on three levels: economic, environmental and legal. And, of course, beneficial to our environment and the dynamism of the local economy. The trend is global and our product will become the standard,” clarifies Valentin Dillenschneider, co-founder of RedE.

The RedE electric scooter is equipped with a 2 kW Bosch engine and a 1.44 kWh lithium-ion battery. Removable, it requires up to 60 kilometers of battery life on a single charge.

With 100 electric scooters in circulation, RedE relies on its dealer network to accelerate its development. For 2018, the startup plans to sell or rent 500 electric scooters.
