Buying a new car is a great joy for a happy owner. But you can enjoy the speed and driving on night highways only after the car has been registered with the traffic police.

According to the law, the car must be registered no later than 10 days after its purchase. You can, of course, entrust all this to salon dealers who will complete the registration quickly, but for a fee.

• we draw up an OSAGO policy and pass a technical inspection;
• we go to the traffic police department, and according to the new rules, the place of registration does not matter;
• in the traffic police we fill out the application form or download the form form and do it all at home in advance;
• we go to the site, where the traffic police inspector checks all the numbers of the units and the VIN code (so that there are no hitches, he carefully checks the correctness of filling out the sales contract by managers in the car dealership).

When all these stages are completed, you need to prepare a package of documents for registration and obtaining license plates. First you need to pay a state duty of 2000 rubles.

Documents:

• correctly completed application;
• your passport and copies of passports of persons who will be included in the OSAGO policy;
• passport for the car and its copy;
• receipt of payment of the mandatory state duty;
• OSAGO.

When all the documents are handed over, you can go about your business for about three hours. Exactly three hours later, according to the temporary regulations of the traffic police, you come for the numbers and a registration certificate, which you must carry with you among all other documents for the car.
