Recommended engine oils for VAZ 2107 engines

When buying a new VAZ 2107 car, you must have been given an instruction manual, the so-called user manual.

It is in this book that there is a table that contains a complete list of recommended engine oils for carburetor and injection engines.

Before presenting this table, I would like to first say a few words on my own behalf, and share my personal experience of operating various cars on all kinds of oils, from mineral to synthetic.

• Mineral oils - used quite rarely and for a very long time, but the negative sediment remained after operation in the winter. It is simply impossible to start a car in frosts of more than 20 degrees. I had to heat it up with an electric stove before the oil warmed up a little and became less thick. As for summer operation, no special shortcomings were found. Unless, the sound of the engine is a little different than on more expensive oils.
• Synthetic oils - here I would like to include both semi- and full synthetics. Such oils are incomparably better in all respects, unlike mineral oils. Firstly, the lubrication of parts is of better quality, due to the addition of various additives, the maximum temperature is higher, and, accordingly, engine wear is lower. Speaking of winter launch, there are practically no problems even at minus 30 degrees. Of course, starting the engine is a little difficult, but the starter turns quite well, so you can even start the engine the first time.

Of course, this list does not include all those oils that can be filled, since their real list is quite extensive, but you should not worry about this if you use any other. The main thing is that it corresponds to the viscosity class and the recommended temperature range.
