Okay, the exterior was dictated by the first member of the Mégane family (five-door sedan), so it's not worth judging from that point of view. Many, of course, did not expect its interior to be changed in detail.

The dash now has sharper lines, gauges have found their place in the middle - similar to the Espace - more drawers, space flexibility is the same as before, so given the size of the car it's still excellent, but not to forget the easily removable rear seats and surprisingly large trunk, which, of course, cannot be attributed to such spaciousness, given the external shape of the rear.

But that's not all that the new Scénic admires. Those who have ridden its predecessor will surely praise the seat, which is now much more natural. Also thanks to the more upright steering wheel.

The gear lever is located on the dashboard, the steering wheel levers are adapted to Scénic's needs, and there is now a longitudinally movable console between the front seats that hides a huge box and a 12-volt socket inside. It can also serve as a support for the hands of the driver and front passenger.

But the essence of the Scénic test was not only in the read, but also in the richest equipment (Privilege) and an excellent 1-liter turbodiesel engine. And when (if) you think about all of the above, your life goes something like this: you will definitely no longer have problems finding the keys.

The electronics are smart enough to detect the presence of a replacement key card and thus automatically unlock the car when you pull the door handle. It reacts similarly to pressing the engine start switch and the toggle switch that locks the Scénica when you leave it. The only concern you will have is not to put the card in any of the secret pockets of your coat or business suitcase.

In the test case, a six-speed manual transmission was used for shifting, which means that this work had to be done manually, but taking into account the engine size and the convenience of the gear lever, this work was not superfluous. A diesel engine with all the latest technology is installed, which has almost sports capabilities. And if you really want to try them, you can control the transmission yourself.

And don't worry, electronics still have a lot of work to do. Provides the operation of the wipers (rain sensor), air conditioning, audio system, trip computer, appropriate headlight beam height (xenon), ABS and ESP (the latter also controls the understeer of the car), cruise control, speed limiter, windows and sun roofs, and we could go on and on.

From this, of course, it is not difficult to conclude that driving such a Scénic quickly becomes extremely comfortable. And also undemanding. The driver only controls the steering wheel, a few levers and switches around it, and the pedals, while the electronics take care of the rest.

And so at some point, you might even want to read your mind. And without fear. if his presence bothers you, just turn off the electrical consumers, and you will find that the "naked" ride is still left to you alone, that if you want to increase the trunk, you have to do this work yourself, and last but not at a minimum, replace the punctured tire.

But, nevertheless, this does not change the final impression of the new Scénic with the most powerful diesel engine and the richest equipment. You just don't have to blame it for not being able to take care of your well being and the comfort you expect - even on long trips - inside.
