Sympathy is a strange thing. What one likes, others don't like. For example, I like the new Scenic. Mainly because it is different in design from the previous one and because it looks more dynamic, which when design decides on a purchase, certainly makes a difference.

But not for everyone. My friend, who is an architect by education, for example, hasn't finished because he says he hasn't finished yet. He is concerned about some details that he says are unfinished and that his keen eye sees, but my non-specialist does not. But nevertheless, I still like the new Scenic and still claim it's fresh enough to attract my clientele.

After all, this dynamism was not the main guideline for designers, you notice as soon as you get into it. Inside, the designers focused more on the family. Moreover, the shape of the dashboard looks so restrained that, if not for the interesting and typical Scenic digital gauges, by the way, new and completely transparent (except for the clock, which is pressed against the corner of the screen). navigator), previously searched in one of the German cars.

Fortunately, it did a lot of good things. For example, the materials are incomparably better than their predecessor, the ergonomics are improved, there are so many drawers inside that you will not blindly fill them, let alone remember where you put your things (you can also find them under the seats and below ).

If you think of a Scenica with a set of equipment like the test (Dynamique), you will also find a governor and speed limiter, an electronic parking brake to help you when you need to drive on slopes, a rain sensor, an audio device with an excellent hands-free system, movable armrest with a huge box between the front seats, a bunch of airbags, as well as ESP.

Even richer was the Roof Window package test (as the name suggests, it gives you a huge roof window above the passengers' heads and additionally tinted rear windows), a car radio with more powerful speakers (4 x 30W) and a USB port and factory navigation a device for which Renault is asking for an affordable 450 euros.

In the end, you have to admit that you really don't have much to lose in such a well-equipped Scenic. Well, maybe a parking sensor will come to your aid when reversing. Especially if you have small children and drive them in child seats, which are usually slightly taller than usual.

Therefore, you will be impressed by the easy entry and exit from the passenger compartment, the salon, which is made taking into account each passenger (for example, there is a folding table on the backs of the front seats, for this, and above it there are two more pockets for storing your little ones), a decent sound system, reliable two-way air conditioner, although on days when it's more than 30 degrees Celsius outside, it has to fight the heat penetrating through the interior through glass surfaces.), convenience (oh, if a smart card were also available), rich equipment and pleasant the trip.

In the new Scenic, Renault engineers have finally managed to tweak the steering gear so that it is lightweight and at the same time communicative. You are too rough and too fast with it) and the engine deserves all the praise. Well, almost everything.

That such a small motorcycle with a displacement of just a liter and four deciliters can sovereignly overcome the path under the wheels is almost impossible to imagine until you try it. Regardless of whether the road is uphill, the wind, or, if you prefer, a slow-moving car is blocking you in front of you.

The little one never goes astray, and thanks to the perfectly matched six-speed manual transmission, he always finds enough energy and energy to satisfy his owner. The best thing about this is that it rarely, and even in exceptional cases, betrays the fact that it does not suck in air freely, but with additional help.

As a result, we were only struck by consumption - what can we say, how a sovereign, how he draws, and also drinks! We failed to achieve less than 13 liters per hundred kilometers. However, it is true that we allow for the possibility that something was wrong with the brain of its motor electronics, since it constantly reacted to the reactions of the driver's foot on the accelerator pedal.

And we attributed another grudge to the new Scenic on our scorecard. In terms of history and success, we have nothing to blame him for, his predecessors presented him with a good guide and brought with them a lot of new things in their time.

But things have changed in the meantime, and when it comes to rear flexibility, this undoubtedly applies to the seats and folding systems. The fact that the seats, which by the way are not at all light, still need to be removed from the Scenic's interior if you want to take full advantage of the volume of the rear without getting a flat surface on top of it is incomprehensible to say the least. For most other competitors, this problem has long been resolved.

But even with this indignation in my head, I still say that I like the new Scenic. Its character is less sporty (Dynamique is just a set of equipment) than some of its rivals, and therefore all the more suitable for families. And if you think about who it is primarily intended for, then the creators sent it in the right direction.
