Rating of electric vehicles with the longest range

Engine power, acceleration, top speed and functionality are standard parameters that we are used to checking when choosing cars for years. Today, in an era of ever-growing electric vehicle market, two more features should be added to the list - charging speed and range. Before you, we have prepared a rating of 10 electric vehicles that will allow you to drive the most kilometers on a single charge.

10 electric vehicles with the longest range

According to Samara Institute for Automotive Market Research , at the end of 2019 on the roads of Poland went 10232 electric car ... 51,3 percent of these were hybrid models - 48,7 percent. - vehicles driven only by an electric motor. The small (albeit dynamically growing) number of public charging stations, of which 976 existed in the country last year, makes range the most important parameter for many drivers when buying an electric vehicle.

This criterion is the main topic of our rating. Below you will find ten models that showed the best results in the WLTP test , Worldwide Harmonized Testing Procedure for Passenger Cars. From September 1, 2018, all vehicles sold in the European Union must be approved in accordance with this procedure.

Its useful to note, that the range measured under laboratory conditions according to the WLTP differs from the real one achieved by the vehicle during normal use.  Changes in road conditions, air temperatures, driving style or the use of additional functions can increase the energy consumption of the batteries, and thus reduce the range.

In short, this is our ranking of the ten models that boast the greatest power reserve with one full battery charge.

10. Nissan Leaf e + - 385 km.

According to the Polish Association of the Automotive Industry, the Leaf is the most popular electric car in Poland and boasts a very decent range. In addition, high driving comfort for driving pleasure and a modern, luxurious interior - while maintaining legendary ergonomics and comfort. In a Mercedes you don't need to convince anyone.

8. Audi e-Tron Sportback - 442 km.

The first all-electric car from Audi with a sportier body than the standard e-Tron. Larger 408 hp engines (electric power 300 kW) and torque of 664 Nm provide much better performance than in the case of the regular version. With the E-Tron in the sporty version, we can go up to a hundred in 5,7 seconds ... The maximum speed that we can squeeze out of the work of Audi engineers is 200 km. As for the power reserve - the manufacturer claims that with an economical driving we will be able to drive up to 442 km without recharging ... Average energy consumption - 22,5 kWh / 100 km - is also little to say.

7. Kia e-Niro — 445 won.

A Korean electric crossover that should be of interest to those for whom versatility and power are of course important in addition to the range. In the version with a 204 hp engine. and with a battery with a capacity of 64 kWh, we will be able to travel - according to the manufacturer - up to 445 km. We can accelerate from 100 to 7,2 km / h in XNUMX seconds. 6. Hyundai Kona Electric - 449.

The main rival is E-Niro from the eighth place. Like a competitor, the battery capacity is 64 kWh, and the power is 204 hp. A little less overclocking from 0 to 100 km / h in 7,6 seconds ... Although the claimed range is slightly higher here, such a small trunk (332L) may deter some people from using this model. Opinions were divided as to which Korean brand was the best. We leave the final decision to you.

5. Jaguar I-Pace - 470 km.

British luxury with an electric motor, awarded the titles of World Car of the Year 2019 and World Car Design of the Year 2019 ... The torque of 290 Nm allows it to accelerate from 100 to 7,3 km / h in XNUMX seconds. Modern urban design does not mean that we will not go on a long journey. A fully charged battery will allow us to drive up to 550 km.

2. Tesla 3 Long Range - 560 км.

Tesla for the second time, this time in second place (the winner won't come as a surprise either). Sporty silhouette equipped with powerful motors with a total power of 330 kW и battery with a capacity of 75 kWh, allowed American engineers to increase the distance that can be traveled on a single charge to 560 kilometer ...
