Ragging a motorcycle

Runner… first contact with a motorcycle will determine its future life and longevity.

Startup is the time it takes to adapt and refine the details. This explains why the first kilometers are especially important. Please note that the outline touches all parts: the engine, as well as the brakes and tires.

Тормоза

For the brakes, it is sufficient to brake moderately for the first hundred kilometers.

Tires

For tires, simply drive without harshness in the beginning and for at least the first 200 kilometers, and then take more and more corners as you go.

If not? very high risk of uncontrolled slippage: all reviews agree with the original tires to say they don't really stick under any circumstances, so be careful! This 200 km should also be taken into account in future tire changes.

Engine

The new engine has a rough microscopic finish, which therefore needs to be carefully polished. To help the habit, engine oil placed in the engine by the manufacturer is especially aggressive to help polish / overtake. Hence, it is also necessary to be especially calm before the first oil change.

Going down doesn't necessarily mean driving your father. The engine speed must be varied while driving and not maintained at a constant speed. This allows parts to be “loaded” under pressure and then unloaded so that they cool. This makes it easier to adjust the parts. It is important that the engine parts are subjected to stress for this adjustment process to be carried out properly. So don't do Paris-Marseille at 90 km / h hoping to hone your car. On the contrary, all speeds must be traveled in both directions; therefore, urban areas are best suited for this (but avoid traffic jams that unnecessarily heat the engine). It is also necessary to accelerate smoothly; it also eliminates the chain kit. Obviously the cast and non-violent behavior.

In the Paris region, I highly recommend the Chevreuse Valley: it is virolic to perfection and it really makes you go through all the speeds and the icing on the cake, the landscape is beautiful 🙂

Likewise, it is best to let the bike warm up for a few minutes in slow motion, without a starter; this at the same time will prevent it from sticking and getting stuck for you!

In any case, always follow the manufacturer's recommendations: "Who wants to spare their mount far away" ... but it was hard to wait before enjoying it!

Engine speed

Manufacturer's recommendations

Example of maximum engine speed
First 800 km- 5000 rpm
To 1600 km- 8000 rpm
Outside 1600 km- 14000 towers

After running out / observing the heating time

After running away, there are still a few rules to follow in terms of engine speed. You have to respect the heating time, in short, let the engine idle for a few minutes (otherwise, some bikes tend to stop and the grip sticks or speeds are hard to get through otherwise). Then, do not exceed 4500 rpm for the first ten kilometers. Indeed, using a cold engine at full load causes metal breaks.

You can then enable normal use between 6/7000 rpm and 8/10000 rpm in sportier use ... and more if similar.
