Guide to replacing the thermostat on a VAZ 2107

A malfunctioning thermostat can lead to serious consequences, and if you do not pay attention to its failure in time, you can overheat the engine, thereby getting into expensive repairs. The thermostat valve can stick and as a result the motor overheats very quickly. To replace this device with a VAZ 2107 or similar “classic” models, you will need a flat and Phillips screwdriver.

After the antifreeze or antifreeze is drained, you can start removing the thermostat. To do this, unscrew the clamps of the pipes that fit to it. There are three such bolts in total, since there are also three nozzles:

We buy a new part and make a replacement. The price of a thermostat for a VAZ 2107 is about 300 rubles. Installation is carried out in the reverse order and it is highly advisable to apply a thin layer of sealant to the thermostat taps before putting on the pipes.
