The 1st Tactical Aviation Regiment was created on 1 January 2009 from the 1st Tactical Aviation Brigade based at Swidwin Garrison. The wing is a tactical aviation association, which is assigned defensive and offensive missions. Units of the 1st SLT correspond, among other things, to support the Ground Forces, Special Forces and the Navy.

In 2010, organizational changes took place in the structure of the 1st SLT, which consisted in the disbandment of individual tactical aviation squadrons and air bases that ensure the functioning of squadrons, and the formation of new units in the form of tactical air bases, which were supposed to be more effective structures. than the existing ones. The reorganization process took place as follows: Decree of the Ministry of National Defense No. Z-31 / Org. / P1 of August 25, 2009, June 30, 2010 1st, 7th, 8th and 40th Based on the converted 21 th and 23rd BLot, the 21st tactical air base in Svidvin and the 23rd tactical air base in Minsk-Mazovetsky were formed. The final stage of structural changes in the 1st SLT was the transformation of the 31st Air Base into the 2010th Command Air Base, and the 12th Air Base and 12th CLT into the 22nd Tactical Air Base at Malbork on 41 December 22, which officially began to operate on January 1, 2011 ... and the dismantling of the 14th battalion for the repair of the airport in Elbląg. The tactical aviation wing, on the basis of Decree No. 10/MON of January 12, 2011, adopted and cultivates the legacy of the traditions of tactical units and associations of the interwar period, units created during the Second World War in the West (Polish Air Force) and in the East (Aviation Troops Polsky) and units created after 1945. From January 1, 2016, the structure of the 1st tactical air wing is as follows: the command of the 1st SLT - Svidvin, the 12th unmanned aircraft base - Miroslavets, the 21st tactical air base - Svidvin, the 22nd tactical air base - Malbork and 23rd tactical aviation. Base - Minsk-Mazovetsky.

1. From the moment of its creation until the end of 2013, the SLT was subordinate to the Air Force Command. Since January 1, as a result of the reform of command structures and the creation of new commands, the 1st SLT reports directly to the High Command of the Armed Forces. Aircraft in service with the aviation units that are part of the 1st SLT - fighter-bombers: Su-22M4 (single) and Su-22UM3K (double; 21. BLT in Svidvin) and fighters: MiG-29G and MiG-29GT (single and double, respectively; 22nd BLT in Malbork) and MiG-29M and MiG-29UBM (single and double; 23rd BLT in Minsk-Mazovetsky).

21. The BLT was formed on the basis of the Decree of the Minister of National Defense No. Z-31 / Org. / P1 of August 25, 2009. Operational activities in the new structure began on July 1, 2010. The unit was created on the basis of the disbanded: 21st Air Base and 7, 8 th and 40th tactical aviation squadrons. This unit is capable of independently performing aviation tasks, as well as providing them both from the technical and logistical side. Currently, the 21st BLT is equipped with the last 18 Su-22 fighter-bombers with variable wing geometry in Polish military aviation, including 12 Su-22M4 combat vehicles and 6 Su-22UM3K combat trainers.

Decision No. 499 / MON of 28 on acquiring the heritage of traditions, the banner and the establishment of the annual Day of the 2010th tactical air base, it was decided that the unit continues the traditions, including: 21. plm (40-1951), 1971. plmsz (40-1971), 1982 Elt (48-1978), 1990 Elt (40-1982), 1999 Elt (8-2000), 2010 Elt (39-2000), 2003 Elt (40-2000), 2010th air base (11-2000), 2002nd air base (21-2000) and auxiliary units that ensure and ensure the activities of aviation unions in the Svidvinsky garrison. At the same time, the 2010 BLT took over the banner of the disbanded 21st Air Base, and the unit's leave was scheduled for July 21.

The first commander of the 21st BLT was a colonel. drank. Ireneusz Starzynski (July 1, 2010 - May 15, 2015). The detachment was commanded by: a unit after Colonel Mariusz Lipinski (May 15, 2015 - June 16, 2015), and after him command was taken on June 16, 2015 by a colonel. drank. The structure of the 21st BLT is as follows: 21st BLT Command; Aviation Action Group consisting of: 1st Air Squadron, 2nd Air Squadron, Support Squadron; Maintenance group consisting of: 1. service company, 2. service company; Support group consisting of: command detachment and security detachment.

In 2011, at the initiative of the then commander of the 21st BLT, Colonel S., he drank his diploma. Ireneusz Starzhinsky, the Sukhoi Display Team was created, the purpose of which was to present the skill of piloting the Su-22 and the aircraft itself in flight to the general public at home and abroad during the holidays and air shows. After the demonstration documentation was prepared and approved by the Air Force command, the members of the group proceeded to theoretical and practical exercises. The first line-up of the Sukhoi Display Team consisted of pilots: Tomasz Kozyra, Piotr Kurzhik, Robert Beletsky, Bartlomiej Mejka. In subsequent years, Dominik Luczak, Krzysztof Kremciewski, Radoslav Leszczyk, Robert Jankowski, Roman Stefanie and Marcin Sulecki joined the team. Since the establishment of the Sukhoi Display Team and its pilots, they have participated in many air shows at home and abroad. They presented their skills, among other things, during: Airshow in Radom (in 2013, 2015, 2017), holidays and shows organized at the bases in Miroslavets, Minsk-Mazowiecki, Poznań-Krzesiny, Semirowice-Ciewice, Demblin and every time celebrating his holiday, at home base in Swidwin. In 2016, the team presented their skills at a maritime show during the Kołobrzeg Days - so far it was the only show by the sea.
