Samsung showcases transparent screen and virtual mirror

New types of Samsung OLED screens in the form of transparent sheets and smart mirrors made a huge impression at Retail Asia Expo 2015 in Hong Kong. Transparent screens are not really new - they were introduced a few years ago. However, the interactive mirror is something new - the concept is impressive.

The practical application of an OLED display in the form of a mirror - for example, a virtual fitting of clothes. This will work on the principle of augmented reality - the digital layer generated by the device will be superimposed on the image of the figure reflected in the mirror.

Samsung's 55-inch transparent display delivers 1920 x 1080 pixel image resolution. The device uses solutions that allow you to control your voice, as well as using gestures. The display also uses Intel RealSense technology. Thanks to the 3D camera system, the device can recognize the environment and extract objects from it, including people.
