The most dangerous cars in the world 2014

Ratings of the most dangerous cars are made by different methods, depending on what criterion the "danger" of the car is assessed on. For example, for Russia and Ukraine in 2013, ratings were compiled for those car models that most often get into accidents. This method is called quantitative and its results depend on the number of cars of a particular brand on domestic roads.

According to this method, the rating of the most dangerous cars is as follows:

1. VAZ - cars of this manufacturer are the most numerous on our roads, in addition, those models that have been produced without restyling for over thirty years are obsolete and do not meet modern safety requirements, the number of accidents with them reaches 17-20 percent of the total number of accidents;
2. People's cars - Lanos, Matiz, Nexia - they are also produced without any special updates and, due to their cheapness, are quite common on our roads, the percentage of accidents involving them is 12-15%;
3. Chevrolet Aveo, Lacetti, Spark - 12 percent;
4. Mercedes-Benz (seemingly reliable cars, but statistics are an exact science) - 10-12 percent.

Quite different ways of assessing the level of car safety are used by independent institutions - the European EuroNCAP and the American IIHS. Every new car that enters the market undergoes a series of tests for frontal and side collisions with obstacles, rollover resistance, passenger protection.

1. Toyota Yaris - a compact hatchback (if the Americans conducted tests with cars that travel around Russia, then Daewoo Matiz, Chery QQ and others would be on a par with Toyota);
