jaki soundbar from telewizora?

Soundbars are growing in popularity. No wonder, because this is a compact audio device with surprisingly large capabilities. How is it different from home theater? Which TV soundbar to choose for the best sound quality?

Will a soundbar replace a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater?

The popularity of soundbars was mainly influenced by their small size and the fact that they guarantee a lot of power. Up to 12 speakers can be placed on this thin strip, depending on the model. In addition, the membranes installed in soundbars are usually larger than those in TVs, which is why the sound of the former wins significantly in quality. But does this mean that the soundbar can completely replace the home theater?

Comparing its capabilities with the basic version of the home theater, i.e. with models from 1.0 to 3.1, we can safely say that the soundbar can surpass them in terms of efficiency. In these configurations, the user has to deal with a maximum of three speakers located in front of the TV, so the sound comes to it only from the front.

Slightly more developed are four-channel home theaters (with surround speakers located on the sides of the receiver) and all the rest, up to the most advanced 7.1 sets, including seven speakers and a subwoofer. So it might seem that compared to a twelve-channel soundbar, this is a rather poor result.

In fact, 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 home theaters surround the viewer with sound from all directions, providing a very realistic viewing experience. The audio bar theoretically directs it only to the front - but this depends on the number of channels (speakers) installed in it. So we can say that a 5.1 soundbar will match the quality and spaciousness of a 5.1 home theater. The quality and clarity of the sound coming from these devices can make a big impression, especially when tested in small rooms where it easily bounces off the walls and hugs the audience. And what would be the best TV soundbar?

Which TV soundbar to choose: with or without a subwoofer?

The subwoofer is a super woofer, i.e. responsible for the bass. Thanks to him, you can reproduce very low frequencies in the range from 20 to 250 Hz.

Thus, a soundbar with a subwoofer can greatly enhance the listening experience. Wherever low tones appear, you will feel their unique depth, feeling gentle vibrations. It is worth choosing this equipment if your hobby is, for example, listening to music or watching action movies. Avid gamers will also appreciate the subwoofer's capabilities - the bass feel will provide better immersion.

Which soundbar for a TV: what else to look for?

Choosing a model equipped with a superwoofer is only the beginning of the technical data that needs to be checked before purchase. The following will be equally important:

  • Пасмо portability – The wider the range, the more realistic sound reproduction can be expected. In the case of very good models equipped with a subwoofer, you will have access to a range of 20 to 20000 40 Hz. Without a superwoofer, the lower limit is usually around XNUMX Hz.
  • Number of channels - i.e. dynamics. It is expressed in the same way as in the home theater case, i.e. 2.1, 3.1, 5.0, etc., with the first number indicating the number of speakers and the second number having a subwoofer (1) or not having a subwoofer (0) . ).

As a general rule, the more the better, as you can expect more surround sound. This is especially true for models with less common designations, such as 5.1.4. The last number indicates that the soundbar has additional speakers installed with diaphragms up, so that the sound is directed towards the ceiling. Thus, you, as the recipient, get the impression that he is above you, which can be felt, for example, in scenes of an ascending aircraft.

  • Sound technology – Dolby Atmos stands out among the top rated. An audio bar equipped with it really competes with an advanced home theater system, as it guarantees high spatial sound. However, soundbars with it are quite expensive - if you have a smaller budget, you may be interested in Dolby Digital and DTS.
  • Wireless communication – the soundbar can be connected to the TV using a suitable cable, such as HDMI. However, being able to pair devices via Bluetooth is more intuitive, faster, and easier.
  • general power - that is, in total for all channels. The larger it is, the louder the device works.

Choosing an audio bar best suits your habits of spending your free time in front of the TV. For deep bass fans, gamers or music lovers, there is a variety of equipment to choose from, and another one will appeal to the cinephile who wants to replace it with a home theater, thereby freeing up more space in the guest room.
