Serious damage to the Lada Priora engine

I wanted to share my misfortune that recently happened to my Lada Priora car. And I'll tell you why I had to use the service - car rental in Kharkov. I went out of town, about 150 km from home, so to speak - to stay, visit relatives. But I did not expect that this is how it would end.

Just drove 40 kilometers from the house, when suddenly a strange knock and click is heard from the engine, the injector immediately lights up and the engine stalls. Since in this case I am complete zero, I did not even understand what had happened at first and tried to start the car again, but all attempts were in vain, the engine thundered somehow incomprehensibly, and did not want to start.

Then I opened the hood and decided to take a look at the timing belt, which everyone is so afraid of. I take out the plug, and I see that the belt just broke and hangs like a snot under the casing. There is only one outcome - the car was taken to a tow truck, dragged home, and then to the service - the valves were bent, and the piston was broken. I got into a major repair, so I had to drive a rented car around Kharkov for several days until my Swallow was brought into a divine form. In the meantime, I’m going to ride a rental car, I’ve already come across similar services before, which suits me perfectly. Although, for many, this idea does not seem like a way out, and not every motorist can afford this pleasure.
