4G network in cars of the future
Renault and Orange are conducting joint research on the use of the 4G telecommunications network in the cars of the future. The collaboration gives Renault and Orange a dedicated experimental platform for research. High bandwidth technologies will be used.
Cars of the future will be equipped with ultra-fast wireless communication. Wherever conditions permit, 
the driver will have completely secure access to his virtual world, both professional and personal. To prepare for this innovation, Renault and Orange decided to join forces by conducting a research project on the use of high-capacity 4G/LTE (Long Term Evolution) connections in vehicles.
As part of the collaboration, Orange has made the 4G network available primarily to Renault's R&D centers, allowing the two companies to test the possibilities offered by the high-speed wireless network, such as the virtual office, in real-world conditions. , cloud gaming and even video conferencing. The first experiment is already underway on the NEXT TWO prototype, developed on the basis of the Renault ZOE. It will be presented at WEB 13 at the Renault booth.
