Step by step how to wash your motorcycle in a simple and effective way

Washing your motorcycle not only removes corrosives from important parts and finishes, but it also gives you the perfect opportunity to thoroughly inspect your motorcycle for structural or joint problems that may not pose a hazard.

Like a car, a motorcycle should always look clean and in very good condition. Don't forget that vehicle maintenance and appearance say a lot about the person who drives it.

Washing your motorcycle can be hard and difficult work, especially if it's not done properly and you don't have the right tools to do it. Knowing how to wash your motorcycle will save you time, money and the result will be incredible.

First of all, to wash your motorcycle, you should have the following motorcycle cleaning products: a bucket, water, a brush, a sponge or cotton cloth, mineral salt-free soap, a wire brush, and a microfiber cloth.

These utensils and tools will make everything easier.

Here we will guide you step by step on how to wash your motorcycle in a simple and effective way.

1.- Find a large place where the sun does not fall directly on the motorcycle.

2.- Apply a degreaser to areas with the most oil. Especially in the engine and in some cases in the wheels. Let it work for about 10 minutes so that it loosens the dirt and is easy to remove when washing.

4.- Wheels are one of the most visible accessories and are the hardest to clean. Therefore, cut them out and rotate the rim so that the entire rim is cleaned without leaving a dirty spot.

6.- Wet the entire motorcycle and scrub it with a sponge with soap and water. Be very careful when moving electrical parts and make sure the bike is turned off.

7.- Remove the soap with a bucket of water or high pressure washer, if you have. Remember that if you are using a pistol, you must be careful as you may move some of the components and damage their functionality.

8.- Finally, dry the motorcycle with a microfiber cloth. This type of rag will help you give your motorcycle a better shine and you won't mistreat the paint like other types of rags.
