Fines for the bus lane 2016 in Moscow, St. Petersburg and in Russia

Such an innovation as bus lanes is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, they freed up part of the roadway for public transport, making it much faster to move, passengers of minibuses and buses can easily get to their destination without spending time in traffic jams due to the fault of drivers of cars and other private vehicles.

But on the other hand, a new hassle has been added to car owners - the desire to go around the traffic jam on the bus lane, which entails new fines, and the fines, it must be said, are not joking.

According to article 12.17. part 1.1 for leaving this lane, a fine in the amount of one and a half thousand rubles.

Well, for Moscow and Petersburg the amount of the fine for such a violation is automatically increased to three thousand rubles.

If the driver enters the oncoming lane, and it does not matter what this lane is intended for - for public transport, tram tracks or for ordinary transport, then you will have to pay a fine of five thousand rubles or say goodbye to your rights for six months. And for a repeated violation of this article - 12.15 p.4 - deprivation of rights for a whole year shines.

What you need to know about the possibility of entering bus lanes and what the traffic rules say about it.

Bus lanes are marked with appropriate signs, for example, 3.1 “Movement is prohibited”, and appropriate markings are also applied to the roadway - solid or broken lines, capital letters “A”.

Let's imagine a simple situation - you are moving in the traffic flow to the intersection, on your right there is a bus lane. At the intersection you need to make a right turn. Usually, at the entrances to the intersection, the solid line is replaced by a broken line, you will need to change lanes to this lane and make a turn.

Moreover, there is even a fine for making a turn not from the bus lane - 500 rubles or a warning.

This rule is described in article 12.14, part 1.2 - it is necessary to take an extreme position, changing lanes to the corresponding extreme lane.

Also, according to the rules of the road, you can drive into bus lanes for boarding passengers, but only if the lane is separated by a broken line. But you can make such maneuvers only if you do not block the movement of minibuses and other public passenger transport.

Regarding bus lanes, not everything is clearly spelled out in the rules of the road. For example, drivers often turn to high-ranking officials for clarification. To which they hear the answer: fines are imposed for violation of signs and markings and for prolonged movement along the lane. The main thing is not to interfere with the movement of public transport.
