Penalties for violation of the rules of vehicle registration 2016 (TS)

On November 15, 2013, a new law on the rules for registering cars came into force. This is a very voluminous document, which discusses in great detail all the registration rules for individuals, legal entities and ordinary citizens.

If in the old version of Article 19.22 of the Code of Administrative Offenses the fine for violating registration rules was only 100 rubles, now it has become much higher. However, it is worth noting separately that the registration rules themselves have been greatly simplified.

How much will a person have to pay if an inspector stops him and finds any violations in his documents?

Article 19.22 does not provide any explanation to explain what is to be understood as violations of the registration rules. There are only amounts:

  • ordinary citizens will have to pay one and a half to two thousand rubles out of their pockets;
  • legal entity - five to ten thousand;
  • officials - 2-3,5 thousand.

These fines will be imposed if the car is not registered in accordance with all the rules.

Firstly, an overdue car registration - you are given ten days to renew it, if you do not have time to complete all the formalities on time, get ready for an unpleasant conversation and paying a fine. The same applies to expired transit numbers.

Penalties are also provided for officials, employees of the traffic police. For example, if he incorrectly registers a car for another owner or registers a car that has been written off for recycling, then he will have to pay 2-3,5 thousand rubles.

It is also worth remembering that, according to Article 12.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, for driving a car that is not registered in accordance with all the rules, the driver will be fined 500-800 rubles. If he is not lucky enough to catch the eye of the traffic police inspector again, then he will have to pay 5000 rubles already or say goodbye to his driver's license for a period of one to three months.
