Do-it-yourself car soundproofing

Do-it-yourself car soundproofingA week ago I decided to paste over my car with noise insulation, otherwise the roar of the engine and the noise of the wheels got a little tired. I drove into one of the city's auto parts stores and took two rolls of this material there. The price is quite low, I paid only 260 rubles for one piece. I immediately took the latch bolts to replace them in case of breakage during the removal of the skins.

On the street, the weather is really not for such an occupation, but still I made up my mind. First I removed the front door trims, and one roll was just enough for this. He glued the doors themselves, and of course the trim, and then proceeded to the rear of the car.

It took even less for the rear doors, from the whole roll there were quite large pieces that could be stuck somewhere else. After the work done, I put everything in place and decided to start the car to listen to how tangible the effect of soundproofing was. When the engine is running, only a little quieter in the cabin, you can even tell a barely noticeable difference, but at speed the noise from the wheels is almost inaudible. You can't hear cars passing by either. As soon as spring comes, it is necessary to make a noise on the front of the car and on the floor, and if there is a desire, then I will probably get to the ceiling. Then we can already talk about significant changes for the better, but for now I don’t observe a super-effect.
